Fuji Superia, Kodak Portra, and Filters

This past Memorial Day I decided to try out some filters, the ones I just got, and Fuji Superia film. The filters were pretty cool but I kept wishing they were more saturated/opaque. Regardless, they left me with some pretty neat photo colors, especially when I mixed them together.

We had a cookout and in these photos I focused on what makes my friend group such an eccentric group of people. We all have our own little art forms, whether it’s photography, painting, cooking, music, writing, designing, sewing, producing, you name it, someone in my group of friends does it.

And also, what makes us stereotypically American πŸ˜›

Lately, I’ve been really busy doing work photography which is all done digitally so I can’t share it on here. It would break my strict no digital rule (even though I break that stupid rule over and over again.) But really, it’s all pretty monotone for me. Doesn’t get me like film photography does. I’ll be posting more. next week I have a shoot with Ashley (yes, the girl with the awesome hair from previous shoots) and it’ll be really great.

A gallery show is also in the works for August. πŸ˜€ Details to come onceIfigurethemout. I hope everyone’s summer is getting off to a great start!

    • Thanks! I’m so glad. If it weren’t for you I wouldn’t have found so many colored filters. I think I’m really liking the Fuji Superia, might be cheating on the Portra sometime soon…..
